Volunteers’ Week 2015!

A Big Thank you to our Volunteers!

Uttlesford CAB is using Volunteer’s Week, which runs from 1-7th June, to say a really big ‘Thank You!’ to all the volunteers who keep the service running. Kate, our manager has made this great video to celebrate all their hard work and achievements.

78 people from the local area currently volunteer for the charity, undertaking roles as Advisers, Trustees, Administrators, Money Doctors, Home Visitors, Fundraisers; in Research and Campaigns and Publicity. Their time is currently valued at over £365,000 a year!

Kate Robson, manager of Uttlesford CAB said, “Our volunteers are a wonderful group of truly dedicated people, from all sorts of different backgrounds, who have a common desire to give something back to the community. Without their enthusiasm, we simply would not be able to continue to offer our service. So, during Volunteer’s Week, we want to recognise their commitment and publicly offer our thanks for all the work that they do.”

Volunteering is about giving your time to a good cause, and in return getting a sense of making a positive difference to other people’s lives. It is also a great way to meet people, make friends and can help you back into the work place should you need it.
